Juli Germain Johannes Silberschneider : Mr. This instalment is funny, entertaining and very well written as the first part. I'm in love with this series!!

I loved it. I laughed. I cried. Loved it. I'm so obsessed with this series!! Few spoilers ahead: I loved the soiree and the singing?

Gwen drunk?? So funny!!! Still in love with him.. At the end though.. My poor sweet Gwen is so miserable and hur WOW!!!

My poor sweet Gwen is so miserable and hurt.. I need to see her happy on the last book!! I want to read it,but at the same time i just don't want this to end!!

I love these books so much and i read them so fast, and the problem is, i can't re-read them for the first time. Well except if i'm a time-traveler.

They would be so good together!! So,i loved this book. View all 10 comments. View 1 comment. It's fast-paced and humorous, with witty characters and the cutest romance.

I'm having a blast reading it! I would write something more articulate, but you know, book three is already waiting for me May 16, leynes rated it really liked it.

All in all, book 2 was a little weaker than book Also, I like book 2 much more than its movie adaption because for some weird reason they decided to seriously SEX UP this movie I am confusion.

The book is so pure, so there's no need for that??? Like, at all?? Anyways, like I said, not much happens in this book, but imma recap it always: after running into Lucy and Paul at the end of the first book, everyone at Temple is shook because they know that something fishy is going on but they don't know what to do about it.

So, while all of this is going on, the other important things happening in this book are that Gwen befriends the "demon" Xemerius who is basically a gargoyle ghost who is obsessed with the fact that Gwen can actually see him, as everyone else can't and that the love affair between her and Gideon just spirals out of control.

I mean, the two of them have known each other for a good five days, yet are constantly switching between "loving" each other, being angsty, jealous and just overall, completely over-the-fucking-top.

Needless to say, I'm here for it. He's falling for Leslie but she is having none of his shit at least she's not showing it to him :D. But let's jump into the good stuff and recap all the fantastic moments that made me laugh and swoon.

Gosh, there were so many of them. First of all, this time the prologue which is always from Lucy and Paul's POV is actually about the time when they were younger and at the beginning, Paul just keeps thinking about how much he loves Lucy and that he needs to braven up to open up to her etc.

Like, LMAO. I needed to tell myself to calm the fuck down. And that has me shook. Ich würde es einfach tun. Well, Lucy and Paul are still my faves.

Then, of course, we have Xemerius Ich häng da nur gern rum. Thank you very much. Let's get down to business.

The love rollercoaster that is Gwen's relationship to Gideon in this book. It will keep your head spinning to keep up with it.

In the beginning, they are all soft with each other because they have finally kissed for the first time after three days so take that "finally" lightly and Gideon is finally opening up to her She sure is an idiot sandwich.

There's lots of great banter because Gwen is still quite intimidated by him and fears that he may find her stupid Their relationship gets tense, as Gwendolyn is secretly meeting up with her grandpa in the past, and Gideon becomes highly suspicious of her, when on one of his lone missions, he is actually struck down by an unknown man, seconds after seeing Gwendolyn in a tunnel where she is not supposed to be.

From that point on, Gideon doesn't want Gwen to elapse on her own anymore, and he insists that he has to accompany her at all coasts.

During one of their hangouts in the 50s, he actually teaches her menuett and quotes Shakespeare But my favourite moment in that scene is actually when Gwen asks him about his relationship to Charlotte and he gets all coy but Gwen is having none of it and straight up asks him how Charlotte is kissing, not if I can't with this girl.

She has no chill. No longer the Chosen One, and her crush is now crushing on her cousin I would be pissed too. But listen up!

LIke, who does that? Every turn she gets, she's trying to make Gwendolyn look back in front of Gideon whilst he is having none of it and that just pisses me off.

Charlotte has more depth than that! I'm really mad because I totally understand why she's bitter but the way she just goes on about it is not cool at all.

Anyways, back to Gwen and Gideon. Besonders ungern von Mädchen, die sich mir an einem Tag an den Hals werfen und mich am nächsten zusammenschlagen lassen.

And so the two of them are in this awkward position where they obviously have feelings for each other but are also hella confused about it and whether they can trust each other.

It's so iconic! To help her out Gideon actually accompanies her on the piano. SO, at the end of this hellfire we are right where we left of A MESS!

Of course, in this book, there are many iconic moments and we revisit some old faves, and get some new icons to add to our pantheons.

Well first and foremost, Leslie is, of course, still our queen. She even gave Gwen a 20cm long Japanese kitchen knife to protect herself.

I DIED! However, Mr Giordano really grew on me over time, because his roasts are just legendary and his utter disgust and contempt for Gwendolyn's behaviour had me rolling on the floor.

Ich werde wahnsinnig. Schau doch wie Charlotte es macht. Das ist unpatriotisch. After confirming that he loves Gwendolyn, Paul decides to give him the secret information that he has just received from Alastair about Gwen's prophecy.

Oh yes, I love these misfits a lot. So all in all, I am so glad that I decided to reread this series. It's just beyond cute and hits me right in the feels.

I'm feeling 14 years old again This book is a good sequel to Ruby Red. It's a light read that will have you laugh hysterically. There is a lot more time travel in this one and some interesting details of the prophecy are revealed.

In the first book, Gwen seemed a bit immature for her age, and she doesn't really evolve in that regard in this book.

I think that is probably the main reason I gave the overall series 4 stars instead of 5. Even though Gwen is hilarious, she is not a great role model or heroine.

She lacks a tiny bit This book is a good sequel to Ruby Red. It's a good thing there was a lot of relationship drama in that book as it kept me focused on the story : I loved the addition of the gargoyle, Xemerius, Gwen's new companion that helps her spy on people and cheat at tests :P And Gideon is still swoon worthy, even though I can't say that I agreed with all of his actions in this book.

The ending was heartbreaking. But it's a good thing the epilogue was there! Mar 09, Laura rated it it was amazing Shelves: fav-characters , young-adult , , fantasy-sci-fi.

I still love these books - I'm so happy! Maybe part of it is nostalgia, but I haven't been this entertained in a while. I read quite a bit of this on my rides to and from university and I must've been quite the sight to the people on the train.

I constantly had to force myself not to laugh out loud, but couldn't stop myself from grinning every other page. Gwen's thoughts and comments made my day.

The sass! Rereading this, it turns out, has been one of my smarter decisions. Whoa that escalated quickly I can't wait to see the end of it.

This book just set up for a great conclusion. I can already tell! Now if the person who has the third book of this series at my library will finally return it I could finish the series!

I love time travel books because of the added element of history. I generally am not too big into historical fiction so when it is added to fantasy I actually eat it up.

This series has great blend of fantasy, history, and romance. I seriously cannot wait for book 3 from my library!

Gwyneth Sheppard has recently found out that s "The illimitable, silent, never-resting thing called Time, rolling, rushing on, swift, silent, like an all-embracing ocean-tide, on which we and all the Universe swim like exhalations, like apparitions which are and then are not: this is forever very literally a miracle; a thing to strike us dumb - for we have no word to speak about it.

Gwyneth Sheppard has recently found out that she has inherited her family's time-travel gene instead of her crazy bitch of a cousin, Charlotte.

Following this discovery, Gwyneth has now been flung, without any proper preparation, into a society full of conspiracies and centuries-old secrets.

And she has no idea what she's doing. She can't dance the minuet. Not that that helps, of course. The main concept was that time-travel was inherited throughout generations in two families, and the twelve time-travellers all had a place in an ancient prophecy.

All twelve of said time-travellers must have their blood written into the chronograph. Which was much easier said than done, as two members of the Inner Circle went rogue in their determination to never let Count Saint-Germain close the Circle.

But I will not have my rules broken. She's funny and bold with a dash of sarcasm. She kind of reminded me of a less impulsive version of Percy Jackson.

The humour was also something I really loved about this book. Sure, some lines seemed to be aimed at a younger audience younger meaning , maybe , but since I'm forever mentally six, I didn't mind.

But if you do it the other way around, it means ha ha, we are now at war with Spain. Let's act as if you really had an aristocratic title and weren't a con man of unknown origin.

Let's act as if you didn't half strangle me last time we met. And let's act as if I were stone-cold sober. Xemerius was the designated comic-relief without a filter, Madame Rossini was such a sweetheart, Charlotte and Giordano made me want to punch a wall, and Lesley is the best friend anyone could hope for.

That's a promise! Gwyneth, get a hold of yourself, you've known him for a week. I did like how view spoiler [Gideon was acting as if their kiss never happened for a bit of the book hide spoiler ] - it toned down the insta-love to a manageable level.

All humour aside, the plot did have some mysterious undertones hinted at throughout the book that I hope will be resolved in Emerald Green, because I don't think my crackpot theories are exactly accurate.

It scarce knows its strength, the price it scarce knows, but its power will arise and the Circle will close. The lion - as proud as the diamond bright, Though the spell may be clouding that radiant light - In the death of the sun what's amiss will then mend, While the raven, in dying, discloses the end.

Jul 08, poppet. As usually I finished this book quite long ago the next day that I finished Ruby Red book and movie buuut i forgot to put it on my read shelf and because i wanted to finish a review first but i had mixed thoughts and events since as soon i finished Sapphire Blue I watched the movie which was so good im going to admit it now: i liked it better than the book Gwendolyn as always was so fun to read I absolutely love her character and with the companion of Xemerius: hell yes.

The time traveling As usually I finished this book quite long ago the next day that I finished Ruby Red book and movie buuut i forgot to put it on my read shelf and because i wanted to finish a review first but i had mixed thoughts and events since as soon i finished Sapphire Blue I watched the movie which was so good im going to admit it now: i liked it better than the book Gwendolyn as always was so fun to read I absolutely love her character and with the companion of Xemerius: hell yes.

The time traveling scenarios are so pretty and wonderful. That ending tho! At least something is better than nothing at all! Despite not being able to put this book down, I still have to give it only 4 stars.

I still have so many questions about all of the mysteries that they seem to keep adding onto but giving essentially zero information about.

I truly hope the third and final installment answers all questions and I can give it a solid 5 star rating. Otherwise I still recommend these books, because they are interesting and the characters all very likable.
